5 Best Laptop For Gaming and Streaming: (2023 Guide & Reviews)

best laptops for gaming and streaming to buy today

Gaming and streaming have a hype these days with all these online platforms that we have.

There are numerous gadgets with streaming capabilities but they can’t do any better than a powerful laptop.

That’s because laptops are based on graphics cards which play an important role in perfect graphics delivery.

Phones are good for gaming and streaming to some extent but the ultimate entertainment lies in a perfect laptop.

Because streaming laptops are better at perfect playback streaming capabilities, there’s no way any gadget can beat them.

Whereas, the arcade of live streaming is hitting this era hard.

Because these demanding streaming platforms can’t be handled with some old-school, slow devices.

A leap to the next-gen laptops for streaming and gaming becomes a necessity.

In this case, an excellent laptop with perfect display features and hardware configurations can keep things smooth in live streaming.

As you already know from my laptop reviews that I have a stock of laptops that I write about each day.

Today I will help you find the right laptop for gaming and streaming with a whole compiled list of them.

Why is my streaming laptop collection the best:

Ever played an Age of Empires 1 game many years ago? I was the guy who was a die-hard fan of this game back in 2003.

That’s just an example, I played all games you can name since the gaming era started.

I still remember my Pentium 3 PC because it was all I got.

At that point, I started questioning the computer systems. Moved from Pentium 3 to 4 to a laptop, and I slowly realized that a powerful computer system means more realistic gaming.

I am standing at a point where I have dozens of laptop collections that also include streaming laptops.

These 19 years of being with computer systems gave me some kind of power to know a PC or laptop by the smell of it.

Helpful tip: If you know a little about videography or video editing, you can use your recorded stream on youtube to build a business out of it.

Best Laptops For Gaming and Streaming

An excellently configured gaming laptop is key to successful live streaming. You’re lucky that I have all of these laptops having perfect streaming luxuries for you.

1. Asus ROG Zephyrus S17: (Best Laptop for Gaming and Streaming)

ASUS ROG Zephyrus S17 Gaming Laptop

Alongside videography, I am crazy about games since childhood.

Recently I got a project from a random company to shoot an ad for them.

I have to travel to the United States to get this job done. While having my apple laptop with me, I got bored during my trip.

I am not saying that I don’t like my videography job but you know it gets boring sometimes.

As a streamer, I needed to do some live game streaming with my friends. But It wasn’t possible with the laptop that I had.

This is the only reason that leads me to the Asus ROG Zephyrus S17 gaming laptop.

Thankfully, it didn’t take me long to identify this best flagship. That was all because of my experience that I had with dozens of laptops.

Either way, I will lay down the actual specs and features that I am getting inside the ROG Zephyrus S17.

Features:

BrandASUS
CPUIntel Core i7-10875H
GPURTX 2080 Super
RAM32GB gen 4
Storage1TB SSD
OSWindows 10 Pro
Display300Hz, 17.3″ FHD, 3ms, IPS, 1920 x 1080P
Keyboard TypeRGB Backlit
Dimensions15.7 x 10.7 x 0.74 inches
Weight5.73 lbs

Graphics / Processor:

I am not claiming that all the configurations on Asus ROG Zephyrus S17 are the latest.

However, the yielding CPU and GPU inside worked miracles for my streaming in the US.

A Geforce RTX 2080 super is what I have on my S17 to this say.

I am not planning on upgrading it because it fulfills my FPS criteria for streaming.

An Intel Core i7-10875H chip alongside the GPU also complements my gaming experience with a higher processing speed of 5.1 GHz.

RAM / ROM:

A cruising fast RAM on a laptop is what I needed and nothing’s better than 32 gigabytes.

It’s a 3200MHZ RAM from the 4th generation that pushes my streaming experience to an excellent level of performance.

Plus it has its own perks with multitasking.

Hard drive / SSD / SSHD:

Hard drive is not my thing and SSHDs don’t meet my requirements.

What’s left is an SSD that I aimed for in my Asus ROG Zephyrus S17 laptop.

There were many storage capacity options on the SSD but aimed for the mid range. Picking a 1 Terabyte SSD was a great idea and I don’t regret it.

That’s because I many thick files and games save in my ROG Zephyrus S17 SSD but still I don’t see any signs of an outage.

On top of that, it takes almost no time to let my programs pop up on the screen after giving it input.

Because the RPM rate on the SSDs is more, the instant program’s startup is what I got.

Display / Keyboard / Battery life:

A wider screen can be a way to the most stunning streaming experience. Luckily, my ROG Zephyrus S17 is standing at a 17.3-inch with a 1080P display.

With a 300Hz refresh rate, now my streams are stuttering and tearing free. Whereas, an IPS panel is featured on the display for a crystal clear image delivery.

A 1 ms response time is also worth mentioning which adds up more value to our ROG Zephyrus S17 display.

The keyboard is RGB backlit to add fanciness to my gaming. Plus it helps me in dark conditions to identify the right keys to press.

I don’t have a good experience with the battery life of gaming laptops. It was the same with my ROG Zephyrus S17.

However, I was wrong because this flagship delivered me with 8 hours of battery span on my video editing stuff.

While streaming, the backup was reduced by an hour. Yet, still it performed well for my needs.

Conclusion:

Things flip when you have the Zephyrus S17 in hand. The videography tasks get more interesting when doing them on a laptop like this one.

Whereas, if you have a youtube channel and you make videos all the time, the S17 is the workstation right there for you.

It will entertain you with games and grow your youtube business. That’s all I have to say about this aesthetic piece of art.

The Good

  • Completely unique aesthetics
  • The battery lasts for 8 hours
  • 32 gigabyte RAM full-fledged multitasking solution
  • A 1 TB SSD never runs out of capacity
  • GPU from the RTX series
  • intel latest chip with 5.1GHz installed

The Bad

  • More pressure is needed to use the trackpad

2. Asus TUF F15: (Best Laptop for Gaming and Streaming)

ASUS TUF Gaming F15 Gaming Laptop

As a student of software engineering, I love developing games.

I like a recording of myself playing around with game engines to let people know about my work.

Sometimes, I go on twitch and stream my ideas on building new games.

On the other hand, I also do some other videography for youtube and photo editing. Such harsh activities can only be assisted with a powerful laptop.

So this time, I made up my mind to get an affordable laptop for streaming and gaming. Guess what? I ended up on Asus TUF F15.

It isn’t a flagship but I must say, it’s a decent addition to my collections.

Now you may ask, “Erick, what are the specs and features of Asus TUF F15?”

Which I was about to answer. Not my best shot but here’s what I got.

Features:

BrandASUS
CPUIntel Core i7-11800H
GPURTX 3060
RAM16 GB gen 4
Storage1TB SSD
OSWindows 10 Home
Display144Hz, 15.6″ FHD, 3ms, IPS, 1920 x 1080P
Keyboard TypeYellow Backlit
Dimensions14.13 x 10.08 x 0.96 inches
Weight5.07 lbs

Graphics / Processor:

I have to admit this! for almost Zephyrus S17 half price, the TUF 15’s CPU and GPU configurations are screaming excellency.

The RTX 3060 Vcard with the dedicated 6GB GDDR6 memory was something shocking for me.

It not only helps me record my gameplay and game development streams with smoothness. But the other heaviest graphics tasks I throw at it are nothing for it. All hail to the RTX 3060.

Of course, the 11th Gen i7 CPU chip also gives my processing the ultimate power.

Its 8 cores are tremendous, and a 4.6 GHz speed is promised.

RAM / ROM:

A straight 16GB is all I can say right now.

I tried opening many tabs on my browser besides my video editing software for a performance test.

The RAM never blinked once.

Hard drive / SSD / SSHD:

Regardless of a $1200 price point, a 1 TB SSD is rare to find on such an affordable streaming laptop.

The data delivery speed to the RAM is admired the most. It actually did well as compared to hard drives.

Display / Design / Battery Life:

The above specs table says it all.

Asus TUF F15 display is featuring the IPS-Type panel.

Other features like 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 1080P resolutions can spice up your streams.

The design follows matt black color and it’s ergonomic from the lid to the base.

As per my tests, the battery backup remains at 7 hours if I use it for browsing stuff only.

Moving on to streaming, video editing, and photo editing stuff cost me a 3-hour less battery span. 4 hours what it can survive on heavier tasks.

That’s the reason my charger is plugged in all the time.

Conclusion:

The first benefit that I am having with Asus TUF 15 it’s low price.

Such configurations on other laptops cost me thousands of dollars.

On the other side, I am more productive now in creating new content for my YouTube audience now.

The fulfillment of having a perfect laptop for gaming and streaming can be felt in my opinion on Asus TUF 15.

There are 1 or 2 downsides to the laptop but overall, the laptop has a spark.

The Good

  • Good looking
  • Acceptable battery time
  • Affordable price tag
  • RTX 3060 GPU and 11th gen CPU chip
  • 3 latest USB ports
  • Can connect to Wifi in long range

The Bad

  • No webcam
  • Biometric security isn’t installed

I mostly did some blogging stuff on this laptop back in the days.

While this laptop has its own memory with me. I remember when to a co-working space.

I was high on other laptop brands those days.

My most of the videography work is done on Zephyrus S17 because it blooms everything. For other purposes, I was in search of a satisfying laptop.

A machine that can help me write content and run some game streams with smoothness.

A friend of mine sitting next to me, doing his thing on laptop while I was staring at the laptop.

4. XPG Xenia 15 KC: (Best Laptop for Gaming and Streaming)

XPG Xenia 15 KC Streaming laptop

XPG is famous for manufacturing the PC components like keyboards, mice, etc.

Definitely, I am not interested in any of them, right? I am straight away here to talk about their XPG Xenia 15 KC.

I got this model purely for streaming and admitting its excellency wouldn’t be wrong.

It’s also a killer in video editing and photo editing. but as a whole, the smooth streams with it gave me goosebumps.

Just because I am done with almost all laptop brands, I wanted to try something different. With a simple online search, the XPG Xenia 15 KC popped up among many options.

Call it luck but I landed straight on the purchase page.

Time to buy this bad boy was the only option. Had it in a week, used it for a month, and a new member of my laptop family.

My first impression of this laptop made me think, “That’s it, I am not buying any more laptops” because it was that good.

My videography and gaming was completed at that point.

This is why the XPG Xenia 15 KC moved a needle!

Features:

BrandXPG
CPUAMD Ryzen 5 6600H
GPURTX 3070
RAM32 GB gen 4
Storage1 TB SSD
OSWindows 10 Home
Display165Hz, 15.6″ QHD, 3ms, IPS, 2560 x 1440P
Keyboard TypeRGB Backlit / Mechanical
Dimensions14 x 9.2 x 0.81 inches
Weight4.0 lbs

RAM / ROM:

Nothing too special, following the same fray of gen 4 RAMs. However, the 32 gigabytes moved me for good.

I tried 20 tabs, opened Camtasia, and android studio simultaneously, but the screen didn’t blink at all.

At the same time, connected to my online streaming server and tried the most graphics hungry game. Still no complaints.

Proven to be a multitasking guru!

Processor / Graphics:

Complimented with RTX series for graphics integrated with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM for wide memory coverage.

Whereas, the 11th gen processing chip sits at its base for intense clocking speed. A 4.6 GHz is what all the processes have to deal with.

Hard drive / SSD / SSHD:

storage outage is not a thing here.

A 1 terabyte is more than enough for storing videos, games, and programs.

The SSD part of it encourages a good level of RPM to startup programs in an instant.

Conclusion:

The XPG Xenia 15 KC is one of the winners although only a few people talk about it.

The battery span is not that long which I can claim with confidence. However, the overall boost in my workflow was enhanced.

I went from 6 hours of streaming per day to 10 hours. As a result, I had a double of content for my youtube channel.

The same can be the case for you if you trust this streaming laptop at least once.

  • Mechanical RGB keyboard
  • Unexpected, a big RAM
  • Differently designed as compared to other laptop brands
  • Holds on to RTX

5. MSI Raider GE76: (Best Laptop for Gaming and Streaming)

MSI Raider GE76: (Best Laptop for Gaming and Streaming)

Being a streamer and videographer, the MSI Raider GE76 is my hero.

Got it yesterday and have a fresh experience with it.

Claiming it with confidence, the Raider GE76 is the best of all in my laptop’s setup.

I paid around $5000 for this laptop and its existence is the blessing I am feeling right now.

Whereas, all thanks to MSI for building such a powerful laptop for gaming and streaming.

I loved the aesthetics.

On top of that, the configurations are furious and no laptop or PC can be compared to it.

As the owner of many other businesses apart from streaming and videography, The MSI Raider GE76 fell for my expectations.

I hope I stick to it for a year at least because I have a bad habit of moving from laptop to laptop. Then piling up for review purposes only.

Yet all these laptops helped create great content for you guys. That’s the benefit that I can’t close my eyes on.

Anyway, it’s the Raider GE76 day today. Let’s find out its perks!

Features:

BrandMSI
CPU12th Gen i9
GPURTX 3080 ti
RAM32 GB gen 5
Storage1 TB SSD
OSWindows 11 Pro
Display120Hz, 17.3″ QHD, 3ms, IPS, 4k
Keyboard TypeRGB Backlit
Dimensions22.32 x 4.25 x 15.31 inches
Weight10.67 lbs

Display / Design / Battery life:

A vibrant display plus it’s wider which saves you money to invest in an extra monitor screen.

4k resolutions are the specialty of it and of course, other features are coming slow either.

Think of any streaming laptop, the aesthetics of those can’t come near my MSI Raider GE76. Its base has an LED screen that blooms the RGB lights.

In the dark, it looks more appealing.

Sadly, the battery span is not in my favor. A 4 hours backup is all I got and why not, after all, it’s a gaming laptop.

RAM / ROM:

Things are different here, the gen 5 RAM is occupied by a few number of laptops.

GE76 is the one counted in those flagships. Also, the 32GB capacity of the RAM is also promising.

Putting this to the test is more my thing as this is what I always do. 30 tabs, 5 of the heaviest software alongside an online stream were all running at the same time.

Guess what happened to the laptop? Nothing! the smoothness was still maintained. I am sure that this laptop can handle more than that.

Hard drive / SSD / SSHD:

No hard drive and SSHD but something better is packed inside this flagship laptop.

A 1 Terabyte SSD to build an organized setup of folders for my videography and blogging jobs.

Processor / Graphics:

Intel wins here again by encouraging the MSI Raider GE76 to hold it at its core. The chip is from the 12th gen, doing miracles on the processing side.

And of course, the graphics are smoothed with the RTX graphics card.

Conclusion:

Not much to talk about the Raider GE76, its configurations say it all.

Whereas, Not alone the streaming gets excellent with it but it does all jobs above limits.

The price tag can put a hole in your pocket which I am aware of. However, it pays the price because you won’t need any PC or laptop ever again.

If the price makes you hesitant, try the cheaper model from MSI Raider GE76.

The Good

  • A workstation for getting things done
  • Gen 5 RAM
  • Glooms with RGBs
  • Upper level RTX
  • 12th gen chip
  • Display vomiting with features

The Bad

  • Bad battery backup

Conclusion

No more or less, streaming is not a thing for a casual laptop. You need something blazing fast to take on the streaming world.

A Gaming laptop is the only solution for it because they’re on graphics cards.

Other specs also matter but without a GPU, almost all laptops turn to a normal category.

These cherry-picked streaming laptops are my own favorite.

The MSI Raider GE76 is a serial killer on the list because the ammunition that it gets in the form of hardware is relentless.

However, it’s expensive!

If affordability is your issue, a mid range laptop like Asus TUF F15 is enough for live streams. Else, go to my Laptop Finder to get your desired laptop.
